Abstract:
Three TKS populations from different regions were taken as the test materials in this paper, and the effects of simulated drought stress with different concentration of polyethylene glycol (PEG6000) were investigated on their leaf water content, chlorophyll content, activity of antioxidant protective enzyme, content of osmotic adjustment and MDA, leaf length, leaf width and maximum root length. The results showed that leaf water content, chlorophyll content, activity of antioxidant protective enzyme and growth and development indexes became decreased and content of osmotic adjustment and MDA went increased with the increase of drought stress. All of these variations suggested that drought resistance capabilities of three TKS populations from different regions are in the order of Zhaosu population>Shihezi population>Linxia population.
