Abstract:
In order to clarify the impact of climate change and other environmental conditions on the Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici over-summering area and altitude, according to the revised over-summering meteorological index of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, that is, the average temperature of the hottest 8 days in the summer as the leading indicator and the relative humidity of the same period as the auxiliary index, geographical information system (GIS) was used to carry out Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici over-summering climatic zoning in Hedong of Gansu Province. The results showed that the range of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici that passed through the summer in Hedong of Gansu had extended to the west and north, and the lower limit of altitude decreased. The lower limits of altitude that Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici passed through the summer in the north Longzhong, south Longzhong, Longdong Plateau, Liupan Mountain, north Longnan, and south Longnan were 1 700, 1 400, 1 200, 1 200, 1 100, and 2 000 meters, respectively. Compared with the 1980s, they had decreased by 600, 200, 200, 200, 500, and 500 meters, respectively, and the area had extended west and north to the northern Longzhong and Gannan Prefecture. The area that Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici passed through the summer reached nearly 7.9 million hectares (hm2), accounting for 79% of the total area.
