Abstract:
In order to solve the problems of soil environmental quality degradation, low yield and poor quality caused by long\|term application of chemical fertilizers, a field experiment was carried out in Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province to study the effects of different proportion of sheep manure and chemical fertilizer on soil environmental quality and sugar content and benefit of sugar beet for 3 consecutive years. The results showed that the application of 100% sheep manure was beneficial to the improvement of soil environmental quality and sugar content of sugar beet in comparison to other treatments. The soil bulk density, pH value and total salt were reduced by 10.45%, 15.14% and 15.35%, compared with that of 100% fertilizer treatment. At the same time, porosity and aggregates increased by 5.29 and 5.81 percentage points, and the total water capacity, CEC, organic matter, organic carbon and organic carbon density increased by 10.69%, 16.85%, 29.90%, 29.93% and 16.33% respectively. The activity of sucrase, urease, phosphatase and polyphenol oxidase increased by 18.93%, 27.27%, 21.74% and 17.95%. Sugar content of beet increased by 2.74%. Compared with other treatments, application of 100% fertilizer was beneficial to increasing of the contents of total salt, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the soil, when compared with that of 100% sheep manure treatment, the total salt content increased by 18.14%, and the alkali\|hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium increased by 1.23, 1.78 and 1.22 times. Based on the economics theory analysis, the 50% sheep manure + 50% chemical fertilizer treatment showed better results than other treatments in improving sugar beet yield and economic benefits. Compared with 100% chemical fertilizer, the 50% and 50% treatment's sugar beet cluster height, root length, root diameter, root weight, root yield per plant, fertilizer profit and fertilizer efficiency of investment increased by 6.40%, 8.75%, 19.00%, 6.96%, 5.33%, 0.10 yuan·hm-2 and 0.02 yuan·yuan-1, respectively.
