This paper is based on the crop water deficit index model and combines the historical drought in Xinjiang. According to data records, the drought index of typical years was compared and analyzed to determine the drought index of spring wheat in northern Xinjiang. ArcGIS was used to analyze the drought intensity, inter-annual variation of drought station ratios and the spatialtemporal distribution characteristics of drought frequency in northern Xinjiang from 1986 to 2016. The results showed that except for the spring wheat vegetative and reproductive growth together stage, the drought station ratio showed a slight increase(0.355%·10a-1), while the other growing stages showed a downward trend in drought intensity and drought station ratio. Severe and extra droughts have the highest frequency in the spring wheat vegetative and reproductive growth together stage(mainly concentrated in 50.00%~68.00%, 0~3.87%), while light and moderate droughts have the highest frequency in the spring wheat reproductive growth stage(mainly concentrated in 12.00%~25.00%, 12.91%~61.27%). Spring wheat vegetative growth stage, the frequency of severe drought in northern region of northern Xinjiang is higher than that in other regions(mainly concentrated in 39.36%~54.19%). In the vegetative and reproductive growth together stage of spring wheat, the frequency of severe and extra droughts in the northeast of north Xinjiang is higher(mainly concentrated in 67.72%~83.84%,7.74%~9.67%). At the spring wheat reproductive growth stage, the frequency of severe drought in the southwestern region of north Xinjiang is higher than that of other regions(mainly concentrated in 46.44%~61.92%). In the three growth stages of spring wheat growth in northern Xinjiang, the frequency of moderate drought was the highest in the reproductive growth stage(mainly concentrated in 41.93%~51.6%), the frequency of severe drought in the other two periods was higher than that of other grades(mainly concentrated in 39.36%~54.19%,51.61%~67.72%), and the frequency of extral drought was the lowest(mainly concentrated in 0~3%). |
