Design optimization of an air\|suction sour jujube picking up device based on DEM-CFD coupling

Abstract:
      To solve the problem that the harvest of sour jujube mainly depends on artificial work, a type of pneumatic picking up machine for sour jujube was studied. The physical characteristics of sour jujube were analyzed. The suspension speed of sour jujube and the change of pressure drop in fluid domain were calculated. The point cloud data of sour jujube obtained by 3d image reconstruction through reverse technology were de\|noised, and the three\|dimensional model of sour jujube was established. Edem\|fluent gas\|solid coupling software was used to simulate and analyze the picking process of sour jujube, and the parameters such as pipe diameter, flow rate, sour jujube speed and contact force were obtained, and the parameters were optimized by response surface analysis for the manufacture of jujube pickup machine experiments. Air velocity was the main factor affecting the picking efficiency, and pipe diameter was the main factor affecting the damage of jujube. The tube diameter was the main factor affecting the damage of sour jujube. The simulation results and experiments showed that the best tube diameter and flow rate of the air\|suction picking device were 0.11m and 0.28 m3·s-1 respectively. The device not only reduced the cost of harvesting sour jujube, shortened the cycle of harvesting sour jujube, but also improved the efficiency of picking up.
