Abstract:
In this study, a drum\|type separation device was designed to solve the problems of poor separation effect and high impurity rate in the harvest process of Pinellia ternata. The key parameters were studied by discrete element simulation and optimization test. Based on the dynamic analysis, the influence mechanism of the drum speed, inclination angle, and the forward speed of the machine on the separation effect was determined, and the simulation model of the drum separation device was established. The orthogonal test was carried out by EDEM software, and the interaction of each parameter was analyzed with the separation rate and impurity content as the evaluation indexes. The response surface multi\|objective optimization method was used to obtain the best parameter combination: the forward speed of the machine was 0.045 m·s-1, the inclination angle of the drum was 6.5°, and the rotation speed of the drum was 37 r·min-1. The field verification test results showed that the optimized device has an impurity rate of 21.14% and a separation rate of 26.17%, which is basically consistent with the simulation results and verifies the reliability of the design.
